Seven suitors on a voyage
Two directions they can go
So it shall be as it was in the beginning
To discover who we are
Bridging distance
Dissolution of our hearts
And our existence is moving closer to the stars
Come together it is time
Flow like water through these hands
Disregard the destination
Built from vague and faulty plans
Come together as a nation
Flow like water through these stones
Come and join the revolution
Children of the human kind, chasing space and bending time
Let this planet see the beauty of your mind
This is nothing but a lesson on desire
A rollercoaster and the tracks are set on fire
Flow like water through these hands
Disregard the destination
Built from vague and faulty plans
Come together as a nation
Flow like water through these stones
Come and join the revolution
Children of the human kind, chasing space and bending time
Let this planet see the beauty of your mind
Seven suitors on a voyage
Two directions they can go
about
During an experiment in 1952 a spontaneous cultural innovation was observed among a group of monkeys on the island of Koshima in Japan. The studies indicated a very specific set of circumstances which led to an ideological breakthrough or "paradigm shift" in the behavior of the entire population of monkeys.
To the amazement of the scientists, when a certain number of monkeys reached a critical mass, the learned behavior was spread almost instantaneously to monkeys on the surrounding islands that were not part of the experiment.
Thus it was proven that when a certain critical number achieves an awareness, this new awareness may be communicated from mind to mind through what science is coming to understand as a morphogenic field that encompasses all of humanity.
In the spirit of this curious discovery in 1952 "The Hundredth Monkey" album is dedicated to the new awareness that is emerging within each individual on our planet and the subsequent building of a new paradigm by and for the human family.
